Traveler at the Window

When I Was Broken

Because if I could overcome and outlast and claw my way out I knew I could still make it and still have a shot and still win this war. Because, if I could run far enough and fast enough and keep my feet on that path I might just have a chance at a better life.

The Blessing of the Lost Key

When my husband lost the tractor key last week, I became a little angry with him, because it is the 2nd time he has done this. Last night, while saying my prayers, I decided to throw in a little request. I asked to have a dream that would lead me to the key. I thought it was a little silly, but I asked anyway...

Missie’s Mayonnaise

There I saw my mother, perched at the table, on which was a small tower of bread, lettuce, tomato, cheese and rolled ham on a saucer. She wore a stained white blouse and an uneasy smile and the old tin can from the china cabinet, still grasped in her left hand, was in her lap. God Blessed Happy

Wrapped in my expressions of love and prayers for those that had wronged me, inside the words I spoke and didn’t speak, existed the strength I needed to rise and continue my faithful yet unprofitable work for Him. From the realm of Omnipotence and Glories, peace and strength was granted to begin another day.

The Great Ocean Wave

But just when it seems it will swallow the whole Of the beach and the dune and the island and shoal, the wild, hungry wave’s on its journey back down to the ocean it came from, with treasures to drown...
